The Upper Merced River Watershed encompasses the area from the headwaters
of the Merced River in the high country of Yosemite National Park to New
Exchequer Dam near the western boundary of Mariposa County.
The entire Merced River Watershed extends from the Merced River's headwaters in Yosemite National Park to the San Joaquin River in Merced County.
